Terms of Service

Last updated · 27 June 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Reedu platform (“Reedu”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a workflow and record-keeping service for construction professionals, operated from South Africa. “You” means the person or organisation using Reedu. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Reedu is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Reedu is a software tool that helps you issue, track and record your work. Nothing in the platform — including its prompts, registers, generated documents or guidance — is legal advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified legal practitioner or for serving a valid notice. Always confirm important steps against your own agreement and, where the stakes warrant it, with your own advisor.

1. The Service

Reedu is where you run and record the work you are responsible for: tenders, drawing transmittals, appointments, instructions and variations, along with document sharing, electronic signatures, site logs and inspection reports. It issues them, tracks their status, sends the follow-ups, and keeps the register of what was issued, who received it, what came back and when. We may add, change or remove features as the platform develops.

2. Accounts & eligibility

Access to Reedu is currently invitation-only. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in link and credentials confidential. You must give accurate account information and keep it up to date. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without authorisation.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the details, dates and records you enter. Reedu’s registers and outputs are only as reliable as the information you put in. In particular:

  • You remain responsible for issuing and serving anything in the manner and to the address your own agreement requires. Reedu records what you issued, to whom and when — it does not serve it on your behalf, and a record in Reedu is not by itself a valid notice.
  • Where another party signs, acknowledges or responds through Reedu, that record reflects what happened on the platform. It does not determine the effect of that act under your agreement.
  • You are responsible for meeting your own professional and contractual obligations. Reedu is a tool to help you, not a guarantee that a step will be taken.

4. Not legal advice

Reedu provides workflow tooling and record-keeping, not legal services. The prompts, registers and documents Reedu produces are general and automated, and may not reflect the specifics of your appointment, project or circumstances. You should obtain your own legal advice on any matter that affects your rights or entitlements. Your use of Reedu does not create any attorney-client relationship.

5. Fees & subscriptions

Where the Service is offered on a paid basis, applicable fees, billing periods and any taxes will be set out at the point of sign-up or in a separate agreement. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable for the period already paid.

6. Data & privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. You retain ownership of the project data you put into Reedu; you grant us the rights needed to host and process it to provide the Service.

7. Availability & changes

We work to keep Reedu available and your data secure, but during this early phase the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may update, suspend or discontinue features, and we may revise these Terms — we’ll update the date above and, where changes are material, take reasonable steps to let you know.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reedu is not liable for any lost entitlement, claim, penalty, profit, or other indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service, including anything you did not issue, send or record. The Service assists you; it does not assume your professional or contractual responsibilities.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
